Returned Services Memorial Walls
| Approved and regularly inspected by the War Graves Commision, the Returned Services and Memorial Walls at Fraser Coast Crematorium and Bayside Memorial Gardens are constructed of Australian granite. These walls were designed and crafted here in our Wide Bay area from granite sourced near Mt. Isa and assembled on site. |

Through his enthusiasm, drive and determination there are now ten members of the re-enactment group including one lady who plays a nurse. |
They wear exact replicas of the uniform at the time and carry Lee Enfield .303 inch rifles and bayonets. The rifles and bayonets are genuine army issue and the rifles have been made inoperable. All This was organised by Jim Wilson. The re-enactment group represents our famous 9th Ballalion who during the First World War, were the first ashore on the beaches at Gallipolli. They were also the last to leave. Following their exploits at Gallipolli they fought on the Western Front and then the Hindenberg Lines. These men were from South East Queensland and the Wide Bay area. Our local group made their first public appearance at the Anzac Day March in Hervey Bay in 2011. The Kronk family of Leslie G.
